Dr. Skip Speer
Hello, my name is Dr. Skip Speer. I am a licensed clinical social worker and a clinical sexologist. In 1992, I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. This was followed by a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1996, and a PhD in Clinical Sexology from the Institute for Clinical Sexology in Miami in 2023.
I have a private psychotherapy practice treating adults. I lean towards optimism in my work and believe that “when the student is ready, the teacher appears.” It is an honor to be able to guide those who invite me into their lives for healing and growth. I appreciate that my clients trust me with their vulnerabilities and allow me to accompany them on their path to recovery. Working in the helping profession is a gift for which I am truly grateful.
I joined Consent Comics with the goal of giving a voice to those who might otherwise be afraid of speaking up for themselves. My hope is to teach people how to set boundaries and respect one another utilizing the fun, innovative, and heartfelt approach of Consent Comics.
In my spare time, I enjoy seeing live music and spending time with my St. Bernard and Italian Mastiff.
